Mr Hiu Fai (Louie) Chan

He is currently a part-time PhD student in electrical and electronic engineering, RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. He is a lecturer in the Department of Engineering at Vocational Training Council in Hong Kong, and supervises student design projects for RMIT bachelor degree in Hong Kong.

Mrs Sruthy Skaria

Ms Iza Shafinaz Mohamad Hashim

Is currently a PhD student in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering under the supervision of Dr Akram Al-Hourani and Associate Professor Wayne Rowe. After completing her Bachelor's degree with honours in the top 2% of RMIT higher education students, Ms Hashim has decided to join the research community at RMIT in generating ideas, providing practical solutions and pushing the boundaries for the benefit of the global nations.

During her internship, Ms Hashim has developed a deep interest in the field of telecommunications, electromagnetics and signal processing. Since then, she has been actively working on the development of a smart antenna for nanosatellite.

In the future, Ms Hashim aspires to become a prominent female engineer, researcher, and leader in the telecommunications field who will contribute to a better-connected world.

Ms Bisma Manzoor

Is pursuing her PhD in the field of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from RMIT. She has completed her Masters in Telecommunication and Network Engineering from RMIT in 2017. She works as a casual academic at RMIT University and is HDR student representative for Telecommunication and Network Engineering .

From Oct 2019 onward, he is working towards his PhD degree with the School of Engineering at RMIT University

Alumni Students

(PhD, EIT, MSEng, BSEng) has completed his PhD degree in 2020 at the School of Engineering of Electrical and Computer Engineering, RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. Dr Al Homssi has received his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the American University of Sharjah, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates in 2014 and 2016 respectively. He also received his Engineer in Training (EIT) certification from NCEES in 2014. Al Homssi also received his Masters in Telecommunication from the University of Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia in 2017. He has worked with the local Australian government on Smart Cities in Melbourne, Australia.

Mr Shah Khalid Khan

Has completed his Master-by-Research in 2019 at RMIT University on the topic of mmWave communications for UAV networks. He is an experienced ICT professional, having worked with Multinational Telecom Vendors & Operators in multiple domains. Mr Shah is currently pursuing his PhD degree at RMIT University in collaboration with the Automotive industry
